More Than A Shelter

At Pet Helpers, we are more than just an animal shelter. We are a vital resource for pets and the people who love them. Our mission extends beyond adoption – we are committed to providing innovative programs, essential services, and compassionate care that strengthen the human-animal bond and support pet owners throughout our community.

Pet Helpers is more than a shelter—we are a safety net, an advocate, and a community of animal lovers dedicated to making a difference. Explore our programs, find support, and join us in our mission to improve the lives of pets and the people who care for them.

Pet Food Bank

No one should have to choose between feeding themselves and feeding their pet. Our pet food bank provides free pet food and supplies to families in need, ensuring pets remain in loving homes, even during difficult times.

Accessible Veterinary Services

Healthy pets make happy families. Our affordable spay/neuter, vaccination, and microchipping services help prevent pet overpopulation and ensure pets stay protected.

Rehoming Assistance

Sometimes, pet owners need to rehome their pets responsibly. Our rehoming resources helps pets find new families without ever setting paw in a shelter, reducing stress for both animals and owners.

Community Cat TNR Program

We believe in humane solutions for free-roaming cats. Our Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program helps manage community cat populations through spay/neuter services, vaccinations, and caretaker support.

Levi’s Legacy – Emergency Veterinary Assistance

We understand that unexpected medical expenses can put pets at risk of being surrendered. Levi’s Legacy provides financial aid to families facing emergency vet care costs, helping beloved pets stay where they belong, at home.

Seniors for Seniors

Companionship is priceless, especially for senior citizens. Our Seniors for Seniors program matches older pets with senior adopters, offering waived adoption fees and continued support to ensure a perfect fit.

Humane Education Programs

Teaching compassion starts young. Through our camps, workshops, and school programs, we educate the next generation of animal advocates, fostering empathy and responsible pet ownership.

Volunteer & Foster

Make a difference by opening your home to a foster pet or dedicating your time as a shelter volunteer. Whether socializing kittens, walking dogs, assisting with general shelter duties or assisting at events, there’s a place for everyone in our mission.

Lost & Found Pets

Losing a pet is heartbreaking, but we are here to help. Our lost & found resources assist pet owners in reuniting with their missing animals through community alerts, shelter intake checks, and guidance on what to do if you’ve found a lost pet.
