Pet Helpers - For Kids

Classroom Programs

Classroom Visits

Recognizing that today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders, Pet Helpers seeks to fulfill our mission to begin animal education at an early age. Pet Helpers is thrilled to partner with schools and teachers to bring humane education to kids in the classroom.

Our programs feature interactive, educational presentations about specific subjects in animal welfare. Our humane educator will come out to your classroom to educate students about the many ways Pet Helpers provides care and services to the animals within the shelter. Kids will learn the importance of showing kindness and respect to animals, jobs within the shelter, as well as have a read aloud based on grade level and needs. As part of each presentation, students are given the opportunity to practice safely meeting and petting our animal ambassadors.

Our lesson plans are designed to promote kindness, compassion, and social action. Which is why no visit would be complete without an ambassador animal to help strengthen the message and impact of our visit!
