Feeding the Multitude
November 20 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Need a hand with putting food on your family’s plates and in your furry family’s bowls this Thanksgiving?
Then join St. John’s Parish Church, along with 25 other local churches and Pet Helpers for the Feeding of the Multitude the Saturday before Thanksgiving! It is our pleasure to join in in this great event where all families will have the chance have something ready to eat Thanksgiving Day. If you’d like to join us in this mission please drop off dry cat/dog food at the shelter from 12-6 this week!
Here’s the details from St. John’s:
We are pleased to announce that we have 25 churches working together to put on the 14th Annual Feeding of the Multitude on Saturday, Nov. 20 from 12 Noon to 3 PM on St John’s Parish Church’s Walton Hall Grounds. We have lifted up the Feeding to the Holy Spirit and trust that He will once again, make it all come together. Our goal is that our guests will be fed spiritually as well as physically. We have many families struggling to make ends meet, and we want to help them and share the love of Jesus Christ. Please continue to pray for another wonderful event and a pretty day
Our goal is to feed 5000 people with 1200 bags of food and 900 turkeys plus 200 plated meals for the home-bound.
We will provide:
Drive through pick-up of bags of groceries to feed a Thanksgiving meal to a family of 4 and a 10-12 lb. frozen turkey.
Homebound cooked meals provided for true home-bound people who have no transportation or ability to cook their own meals.
Prayer Teams via Facebook live stream or private telephone call in line. We will also have our prayer chain.
Feeding our Multitude of Pets. We continue to offer free pet food and spaying/neutering education, thanks to our partners, Pet Helpers and Charleston Animal Society.
