It’s time to make a splash—literally! Dog Day Afternoon is back at SplashZone Waterpark at James Island County Park, and it’s one of the most exciting dog-friendly events of the year. Join us on Saturday, August 16th for a day filled with wagging tails, wet paws, and unforgettable summer memories.

This highly anticipated event gives your four-legged family members exclusive access to the plunge pool and leisure pool—specially opened for one day only for pups to run, play, and swim to their heart’s content. With two sessions to choose from (10am–12pm or 1pm–3pm), you’ll want to reserve your spot early, as this event sells out every single year.

Tickets are just $15 per dog in advance ($20 at the gate, if available), and humans get in free with their pets. Your ticket also includes the standard $2 park admission fee, making this event both affordable and fun for the whole family.

But the fun doesn’t stop at the water’s edge!

Pet Helpers will be there too, sharing treats, smiles, and hosting a free Microchip Checkpoint to help ensure more pets can find their way home if they’re ever lost. Our team will be scanning pets’ microchips, helping owners check their registration status, and offering information on how to update or register their chip. It’s a simple step that could make all the difference in reuniting lost pets with the families who love them.
