August | Vickery’s Charity of the Month

Pet Helpers has been chosen as Vickery’s Charity of Choice for the month of August. We will be receiving proceeds from them throughout the entire month to support our rescues. Pet Helpers will be, raffling off a gift basket, answering all your questions about Pet Helpers and recruiting volunteers. We will be there EVERY Wednesday night from 5 pm – 8 pm and
Sunday afternoons from 3 pm – 7 pm for the entire month of August! Come join the fun and support your favorite rescue! Vickery’s is located at 1313

August 23 | Pet Helpers to be honored by RiverDogs
Joseph P. Riley Jr. Stadium
Charleston RiverDogs will be honoring Pet Helpers during their Annual New York Yankees HOPE Week Initiative. Members of the team and staff will be volunteering at the shelter to give back to their community. That night Pet Helpers will be honored at the RiverDogs game. An honorary Pet Helper will
throw out the first pitch, a video presentation will be played on the big screen and Pet Helpers will have adoptable dogs and a table with volunteers to ask any questions about joining our mission. Come join us at the RiverDogs game that night! Get your tickets here:


August 24 | Rescue the Summer
Cypress Gardens
Join us, many other rescues and Friends of Berkley County Animal Center at the first annual Rescue the Summer! We will be raising awareness, encouraging adoptions and raising money for all the local rescue shelters! There will be food trucks, small business vendors, a children’s play area, live music and MORE! Come out and support your local animal shelters. 11 am to 4 pm at Cypress Gardens.

August 31 | Kittenpalooza the Sequel
Pet Helpers Adoption Center & Spay/Neuter Clinic
Do you want to meet your purrrrrfect BFF? Come to Kittenpalooza the SEQUEL and find your new family member. There are still many kittens that need furever homes so join us again at Northwoods mall in the Dillard’s Court from 11 am – 2 pm for some furry friendliness. Kittens will be discounted and will include, all vaccines, spay/neuter. We will have kitten kits including: litter box, litter scoop, litter, soft blanket, food, food scoop, bowls, kitty treats, toys and take-home carrier. Everything you need to get you started with your new feline friend – a total value of over $420.00. And did we mention you get dinner on us too? Papa John’s is throwing in a free pizza with EVERY adoption!



September 8 | Beer Week: Burpees, Bazaar,
Beats & Brews
Ghost Monkey Brewery
Ghost Monkey Brewery is hosting a fun-filled day to celebrate Charleston Beer Week. They’ll kick off the
day with Burpees & Brews by Charleston Get Fit 11-11:45. Starting around 12, they’ll have some
vendors in the lot selling their wares, grab a pint and browse around.
At 3:00, Name The Music Trivia kicks off in the taproom. Taproom open 12-8. Vendor fees and tips from the day will go to us!

Thanks to King Street Marketing Group, here’s your chance to have lunch with your favorite author! On September 20th at Halls Signature Events, you’ll enjoy three courses by Hall’s Executive chef Robyn Guisto, excellent company and a discussion of Colin Egglesfield’s book, Agile Artist. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and lunch is served at noon. Limited seating provides an intimate experience with the author. In addition to three creative courses by Halls Executive Chef Robyn Guisto, the cash bar will feature specialty cocktails and wines. Refunds may be issued for any reason up to 24 hours before the event.

September 28 | Pet Helpers Yoga
Pet Helpers Adoption Center & Spay/Neuter Clinic
Forbes Fitness is hosting a yoga class at Pet Helpers! You don’t need any yoga experience to take this class just be one big animal lover. We will have dogs with us in the room that are available for adoption. This class is 100% donation and again you don’t have to be a yogi to participate. Yoga poses will mostly include cuddling and petting dogs. We have very limited space so make sure you book early. Please send $20 to @Allison-Forbes on Venmo to secure your spot and you can always donate more at the event. Yoga will start at 9 AM.
