“Providing a safe, loving environment for stray and unwanted animals until they are adopted.”

WHEN:            Wednesday, March 19th at 1 p.m.
WHERE:          Start at: 1430 Folly Road, End at: 1447 Folly Road, James Island

After 9 long years and many donations later, Pet Helpers “dream” has finally come true!  Phase one of their 14,000 square foot state-of-the-art Adoption Center and Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic is complete.  But before they can open their doors, the pets have to be transferred.

On Wednesday, March 19th at 1:00pm, County Police will stop traffic on Folly Road so that Pet Helpers’ staff and volunteers will be able to escort 15+ dogs across the street to their new digs.

“This is a wonderful photo opportunity and is a great precursor leading up to the Grand Opening of our new Adoption Center and Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic,” said Pet Helpers’ Executive Director, Suzanne Carr.

For thirty years, Pet Helpers has consistently been a leader in working to stop pet overpopulation, address animal cruelty, and shelter all animals taken in until adoption.
